Hello my name is Phillip King. Now, without a literary agent and unfortunately none of my travel books making it to the New York best sellers list (so far that is) this bio might be a tad brief.
I believe it is only fair to acknowledge that some may question my qualifications to write authoritatively on personal weight management; however, I'd like to defend myself by saying that before retiring I had a long career in senior management for one of the most respected companies in the UK. Managing people and solving problems were part of my daily routine. Moreover, I used this approach I'm advocating to resolved my own issue which i talk about in the booklet.
During a holiday last year, I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely couple who were struggling with their weight. I tactfully shared my own experiences, and the approach I used, with them. Fortunately they were both willing to listen. Several months later, they reached out to me with great news. They'd implemented my approach and both achieved a significant weight loss. Their success, along with my own and others, inspired me to write about it. I genuinely believe it provides a viable alternative to the constant cycle of on-off dieting.
